Remote Registered Nurse - Telehealth Patient Assessment

About the Role

J&B Medical Supply Co is seeking a Remote Registered Nurse - Telehealth Patient Assessment to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will conduct patient assessments via phone to determine the needs for incontinence supplies, ensuring high-quality care for our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact in the healthcare field.

What You'll Do

• Conduct patient assessments by phone, ensuring accurate determination of needs for incontinence supplies.
• Complete 20-25 assessments daily with a focus on high accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in after-hours emergency call rotation to provide support when needed.
• Provide education to staff and clients regarding products and services offered by J&B Medical Supply Co.
• Utilize strong computer skills to navigate multiple databases effectively.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance operational efficiency and improve reimbursement outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with medical coding and billing processes.
• Work flexible hours between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM to accommodate patient needs.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Michigan RN license.
• 2+ years of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use multiple databases.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and durable medical equipment (DME).
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid is a plus.

• Experience in telehealth or remote patient assessment.
• Proven track record of resolving insurance claim denials.
