About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Project Manager to join our Peace & Security Department at GOPA Group. In this role, you will autonomously manage project development and implementation processes that focus on peace and conflict prevention, security, migration, and forced displacement. As a Remote Project Manager, you will lead and manage various projects, ensuring their success and alignment with our organizational goals.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Manage tender acquisition processes and coordinate bids to secure project funding.
  • Organize field monitoring missions for effective project implementation.
  • Expand networks of experts, clients, and partners to enhance project outcomes.
  • Contribute to developing strategies within the department to improve project effectiveness.
  • Identify technical trends and market developments that may impact project direction.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional growth.
  • Utilize excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations or a related field; a Master’s degree or postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in project management.
  • Sound knowledge of EU cooperation policies and familiarity with EU funding procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong computer skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as French or Spanish are valuable.
  • Ability to establish long-term relationships with stakeholders and partners.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in international development or humanitarian projects.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Previous experience in peace and security sectors.
