About the Role

This Remote Platform Engineer role is crucial as you will work closely with various teams, including Infrastructure, IT, Engineering, Architecture, and SRE, to build a stable and resilient platform that delivers high-quality software solutions to our customers.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain internal platforms that support application development, deployment, and runtime operations.
- Build reusable infrastructure components, APIs, and tooling that enable teams to self-serve common needs such as CI/CD pipelines and environment provisioning.
- Develop platform services using infrastructure-as-code and software engineering best practices.
- Manage networking, compute, storage, and identity systems that underpin production workloads.
- Partner with application teams to understand pain points and reduce friction in the development lifecycle.
- Create clear documentation, examples, and standards that help teams adopt platform capabilities effectively.
- Embed reliability and security best practices into platform primitives by default.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform health and performance.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in software development and infrastructure management as a Remote Platform Engineer.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
