Remote Mental Health Therapist - Support Student Wellbeing

About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team at Cartwheel, where we address the student mental health crisis through innovative support programs. As a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you'll provide essential mental health assessments and teletherapy to PreK-12 students, collaborating closely with school staff, students, and families to enhance mental health services in educational settings.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent care, including mental health assessments and teletherapy, to PreK-12 students.
• Collaborate with school staff to improve mental health support systems.
• Participate in case discussions with other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support students and families with transitions to community care providers.
• Build lasting relationships with school leadership and families to foster a supportive environment.
• Provide clinical supervision if qualified, enhancing the skills of associate-level clinicians.
• Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. with an active RI license.
• Access free online accredited continuing education to further your professional development.

Requirements

• Active independent license in RI (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).
• Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.
• At least two years of experience delivering mental health services via telehealth.
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to offer hours during and after school to accommodate student needs.
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet for effective virtual sessions.
• Ability to manage crisis situations virtually, ensuring student safety and support.
• Fluency in other languages is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse student populations.
