Food Safety and Quality Compliance Specialist - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Food Safety and Quality Compliance Specialist - Remote to join The Fremont Company, a leading food manufacturing organization. In this role, you will oversee food safety and compliance programs across multiple facilities, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices in food manufacturing. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to delivering safe and high-quality food products.

What You'll Do

• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and food safety standards.
• Serve as the point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Maintain and improve food safety management systems.
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Lead quality initiatives for new product development.
• Conduct training programs for staff on food safety compliance.
• Manage compliance documentation and reporting.
• Travel regularly between three Ohio facilities.
• Foster a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with various teams on quality assurance and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in food safety compliance.
• Knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI standards.
• Experience in developing and managing SOPs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
• Ability to travel regularly to multiple facilities.
• Preferred certifications: PCQI, SQF Practitioner.
