About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Human Resources Workplace Investigator to join our team at SoCalGas. In this role, you will conduct detailed reviews of ethics cases and support investigations through data analysis and reporting. You will provide guidance on policy interpretation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to ethical standards and regulatory obligations.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of unethical behavior, including gathering evidence, interviewing involved parties, and documenting findings.
  • Analyze investigation data to identify patterns or recurring issues and recommend process improvements or corrective actions.
  • Draft detailed investigation reports with clear findings, supporting evidence, and actionable recommendations.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members on investigation protocols and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and other departments to ensure investigations align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely resolution in accordance with internal SLAs.
  • Support the development of ethics training materials by contributing insights from recent investigations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field, with a focus on workplace investigations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and ethical standards.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in workplace investigations or HR-related certification.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with HR software and data management tools.
