Remote Finance Project Team Lead - Healthcare Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Finance Project Team Lead to join Avalere Health, a company dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives the care they need. This role is pivotal in supporting our project delivery, finance, and operations teams across the organization. As a Remote Finance Project Team Lead, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure the financial health of our business, while also leading a team of finance professionals.

What You'll Do

• Establish new company-wide processes to support project finance activities while ensuring financial controls are in place.
• Lead a diverse team of 8-10 project finance professionals located across the US and UK.
• Collaborate with project management and client service teams to manage financial data using WorkFront and NetSuite systems.
• Own project cash management activities, including invoicing and cash projections.
• Review monthly client budgets and actuals with our teams to verify billing and revenue recognition.
• Support finance capability teams in key initiatives, including margin analysis and development of business KPIs.
• Manage accrued revenue and deferred liabilities to maximize cash flow.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, especially around newly implemented project management software.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, or a graduate of a finance leadership rotational program.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing a remote team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and establish clarity.
• Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High attention to detail with a focus on the big picture.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe WorkFront, and Oracle NetSuite.
