Remote Accounting Manager - Join a Leading Sustainable Organization

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Accounting Manager to join our team at Avient Corporation, a leader in sustainable materials solutions. This position is crucial for supporting our business unit, Avient Protective Materials, and will involve overseeing various aspects of the monthly close process while ensuring compliance with local and global accounting standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead the preparation and support of statutory accounts, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with tax provisions.
• Coordinate with the Avient EMEA Statutory team and external auditors to deliver audit requirements efficiently.
• Manage SAP general ledger activities and oversee the monthly and quarterly closing processes for multiple financial statements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Provide oversight on control reviews and implement best practices across the finance team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Corporate Income Tax, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Master’s degree in accounting, ACCA, or local equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with SAP and knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Dutch GAAP.
• Ability to think critically and analytically, with a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SOX compliance and Business Warehouse.
• Familiarity with Hyperion.
