We are seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our 1J Orthopaedics team at Trillium Health Partners. What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to assigned patients in the orthopaedic unit.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective discharge plans.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and provide appropriate interventions.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with nursing standards.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience in acute care and surgical settings, particularly in orthopaedics.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of nursing duties, including lifting and mobility assistance.
Nice to Have
- Evidence of continued education in nursing.
- Experience in program planning and quality improvement.
- Previous mentorship or coaching experience in a healthcare setting.
