QA Engineer (IntelliJ) - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer (IntelliJ) remote to join our innovative team at JetBrains. Since our inception in 2000, we have been passionate about creating the most effective developer tools. Our flagship product, IntelliJ IDEA, has transformed the Java development landscape and continues to enhance productivity for thousands of developers worldwide. In this role, you will be part of the IntelliJ LSP initiative, where your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of our software.

What You'll Do

• Manage project quality by monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring results meet high quality standards.
• Collaborate with development and product teams on various development tasks.
• Test new and existing functionalities to ensure they meet user requirements.
• Search for and localize bugs, providing detailed reports to the development team.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
• Define and implement our testing strategy to enhance product reliability.
• Create and maintain automated tests to streamline the testing process.
• Set up and manage test infrastructure to support continuous integration.
• Accept product releases, ensuring they meet quality benchmarks.

Requirements

• Experience with at least one OOP programming language, preferably Java or Kotlin.
• Practical experience with build systems such as Gradle or Maven.
• Experience in writing automated tests and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Experience in exploratory testing and sufficient project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with VSCode and familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience in building automated testing infrastructure and processes.
