Public Affairs Intern - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Welcome to BASF! We are seeking a Public Affairs Intern to join our team remotely. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable chemistry initiatives while gaining valuable experience in public affairs. As a Public Affairs Intern, you will support our regulatory affairs team in various strategic projects and initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the development and implementation of public affairs action plans at the European, national, and local levels.
• Support the preparation of institutional contact plans and meetings.
• Contribute to impactful content creation, including notes, arguments, and summaries.
• Represent BASF at various events and engage with stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to communication and public affairs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (M1 or M2) in Communication, Political Science, or related fields.
• Strong interest in public affairs and communication trends.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken (30% of the role in English).
• Familiarity with European, national, and local institutional frameworks.
• Availability for a 12-month internship starting in September 2026.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in public affairs or related fields.
• Knowledge of the chemical industry and sustainability issues.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
