Project Operations Associate - Remote Opportunity with UNDP
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Project Operations Associate to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in supporting the UNDP's mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, focusing on sustainable development and climate action. As a Project Operations Associate, you will provide essential administration, logistics, and finance support to our Biodiversity and Nature Solutions team.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate project planning and preparation for medium-sized and complex project initiatives.
- Conduct analysis, research, and summarize information/data on specific projects.
- Implement project standard operating procedures in accordance with UNDP regulations.
- Assist in preparing results-oriented progress reports and monitor project implementation.
- Prepare financial authorizations for expenditures and manage documentation in the budget system.
- Provide administrative support for project work plans and operational closure.
- Support strategic partnerships and resource mobilization efforts.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and documentation of best practices.
Requirements
- Secondary education or a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- Minimum 3 years of project experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a high school diploma.
- Solid computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet and database management.
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, and administrative processes.
- Fluency in English, Kyrgyz, and Russian is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing operations related to environmental and climate change projects.
- Familiarity with web-based management systems.
- Experience working with government and non-government stakeholders.
