Project Officer - Education Sector (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Project Officer to join our team remotely, focusing on the Education Sector. As a Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring educational projects, particularly the System Capacity Grant (SCG) and the System Transformation Grant (STG). Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that these projects meet their objectives and contribute positively to the educational landscape in Myanmar.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical advice for designing, planning, and implementing educational monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and systems.
- Monitor and assess educational progress by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.
- Support the implementation of the Joint Response Framework (JRF) for Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation across educational projects.
- Contribute to capacity building among local organizations by offering technical support on effective coordination and knowledge management practices.
- Assist in the evaluation and reporting of projects through the preparation of comprehensive reports and briefings.
- Support educational research activities, including literature reviews and data collection.
- Facilitate coordination across various working groups within the education sector to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in resource mobilization efforts by developing project proposals and tracking submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced university degree in Education, Social Sciences, International Relations, or related fields.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in project management, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven experience in gathering and analyzing complex data to produce insightful analytical reports.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Myanmar’s education landscape.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools such as KoboToolBox and MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent drafting and report writing skills.
Nice to Have
- Advanced university degree in education development or related field.
- Experience within the UN system or international organizations.
- Familiarity with UN programming policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of additional languages from the Asia-Pacific region.
