Procurement Specialist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist - Remote to join our team at Buckman. In this role, you will be integral to securing reliable and cost-effective supply chains for key materials that support our customers and production sites. Your expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management will help us maintain our commitment to sustainability and innovation.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using spend analysis, cost models, RFPs, and market intelligence.
• Strengthen supplier relationships and lead negotiations to secure improved terms while monitoring performance through reporting.
• Identify and assess operational and quality risks, implementing mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities and support forecasting efforts.
• Maintain market intelligence and monitor trends to guide procurement decisions effectively.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with local and global suppliers, overseeing contract management and resolving quality, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Monitor market conditions impacting raw materials and participate in global procurement discussions to ensure competitive outcomes.
• Ensure supplier audits qualify and evaluate suppliers in accordance with ISO requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing environments, ideally in sourcing or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, market analysis, and financial principles.
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
• Solid experience in contract management and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with high collaboration and integrity.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong IT skills, including MS Office, Business Intelligence tools, and SAP.
