Principal Product Designer - UI-Focused & End-to-End Design

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Principal Product Designer - UI-Focused to join our team at Discovered MENA. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product portfolio. As a Principal Product Designer, you will lead design initiatives, combining hands-on design with strategic oversight. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of B2C products that are used by real customers, tackling diverse UX challenges.

What You'll Do

• Lead design efforts across multiple live and near-launch B2C products.
• Review work and set UI standards to ensure pixel-perfect execution.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align design and functionality.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of UI/UX designers.
• Balance hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities, dedicating approximately 25% of your time to leadership.
• Drive the design process from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Engage in strategic thinking to elevate the overall design quality across the portfolio.
• Participate in product launches and contribute to the development of new products.

Requirements

• Strong background in B2C product design with a proven track record of successful product launches.
• Experience leading design initiatives and working closely with engineering teams.
• Excellent visual and UI craft skills with a focus on pixel-perfect execution.
• Ability to think holistically about design across multiple products.
• Experience in a fast-paced tech environment, preferably in a product-focused role.
• Strong communication skills to influence design decisions at a portfolio level.
• Open to Senior Product Designers ready to step up into a Principal role.
