About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Designer - Website & Digital Experience to join our innovative team at Birdeye. This role is a unique opportunity to lead the design vision for our digital platforms and make a significant impact on our brand's online presence. As a Principal Designer, you will work remotely and collaborate with a talented design team based in India, driving the creative direction of our website and digital experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Own and evolve the creative and brand vision for our global website and digital experiences, establishing premium design standards.
  • Define how our brand is expressed digitally, translating positioning and messaging into cohesive, world-class experiences.
  • Lead the end-to-end UX and visual design across desktop, mobile web, and app, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Translate business goals and user needs into intuitive and conversion-focused experiences.
  • Apply insights from conversion rate optimization (CRO), user research, and experimentation to continuously enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and executive teams to align design with business outcomes.
  • Mentor and grow a design team, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.
  • Establish and maintain design systems, standards, and guidelines across all digital properties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in web, digital, or brand design, including senior or principal-level roles.
  • A portfolio showcasing exceptional visual craft and modern web experiences.
  • Deep expertise in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
  • Strong understanding of UX, interaction design, typography, layout, and motion.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proven experience mentoring and leading design teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in enterprise-level design projects.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards in web design.
