About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Designer - CAD/BIM - Rail (Remote) to join AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team in Bengaluru. This role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects while leveraging advanced BIM technologies. As a Principal Designer, you will provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring high-quality technical solutions are delivered efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the implementation of BIM technologies across various projects, ensuring alignment with AECOM’s strategic goals.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions to complex engineering problems using Revit and other BIM software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and deadlines.
  • Mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Utilize MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, and OpenRail to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in CAD/BIM design, particularly in rail projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Geopak.
  • Diploma or equivalent education in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Experience with project management and leadership roles.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
