Part-Time Hand Therapy Aide - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Hand Therapy Aide to join our team at Movement For Life Physical Therapy. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to support our physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a Hand Therapy Aide, you will assist with various tasks that are essential to the patient experience, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment for therapy sessions.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Director with miscellaneous tasks and projects, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing patient information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient treatment areas, ensuring they are sterile and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Greet patients warmly and escort them to the appropriate treatment or exercise area.
• Support physical therapists by gathering patient history and intake information as needed.
• Assist therapists with the application of procedures and modalities as directed.
• Educate and monitor patients through their exercise programs, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
• Document patient charts accurately and in a timely manner as instructed by therapists.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher is required.
• Background in Kinesiology is a plus.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and assist patients with mobility restraints.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, email, and internet navigation.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

• Knowledge of patient care procedures and modalities.
