Data Governance & Quality Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Data Governance & Quality Analyst remote to join our team at Cognizant. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of data across our organization. Your efforts will support strategic and operational decision-making by implementing governance frameworks, validating data, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and validate real-time operational data across systems and dashboards.
• Build and maintain automated reports and KPI dashboards.
• Identify data inconsistencies and propose actionable improvements.
• Recommend improvements to data models and stewardship practices.
• Track data quality metrics and report anomalies.
• Automate data validation and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance or data quality roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python and Google Apps Script.
