ICT Applications and Integration Specialist - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an ICT Applications and Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team at UBS. This role is pivotal as you will work at the intersection of application operations, system integration, and process automation. As an ICT Applications and Integration Specialist, you will ensure that critical business applications work reliably together and support the continuous optimization of our end-to-end processes. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to a leading global wealth manager.
What You'll Do
- Manage, monitor, and enhance integrations between core banking, CRM, accounting, and ancillary systems.
- Ensure stable processing workflows and data flows (daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end processing) in collaboration with various departments.
- Coordinate incidents and changes closely with internal departments and external vendors.
- Analyze and optimize API, event, and batch-based interfaces in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment.
- Collaborate with internal departments to continuously improve existing integrations and operational processes.
- Participate in IT projects aimed at expanding and modernizing integration and application platforms.
- Document system integrations and create operational manuals.
Requirements
- Completed education in computer science (e.g., IT specialist) or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in application operations and system integration of productive IT systems.
- Practical experience with interface technologies (API, messaging, batch processing).
- Operational experience with Windows and Linux servers.
- Analytical thinking and a structured working style.
- Team-oriented and responsible work ethic with a strong service orientation.
- Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with container platforms (e.g., OpenShift).
- Knowledge of event streaming with Kafka.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Database knowledge in Oracle and/or MS-SQL Server.
- Experience with CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
