Part-Time Developmental Interventionist - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
Join our mission as a Developmental Interventionist remote! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities? Holding Hands Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Developmental Interventionist remote. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including our beautiful clinics, clients' homes, or community locations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct one-on-one Adaptive Skills DIR®/Floortime™ sessions focused on relationship-based interactions.
- Support clients in building social-emotional development and communication skills.
- Follow the client’s lead—join their play and expand on their interests to encourage engagement and growth.
- Utilize a variety of tools depending on developmental stage and goals, including toys, games, sensory-motor activities, and music.
- Create a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment throughout each session.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with both the client and their family.
- Recognize and celebrate each client’s unique strengths, progress, and milestones.
- Help clients work toward their goals and reach their fullest potential.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or unpaid).
- Reliable source of transportation and ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
- Comfortable commuting 20 miles or 30 minutes to client sessions.
- Passion for working with children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities.
Nice to Have
- CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults.
- Master's Degree or currently enrolled in a Master's Program.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
