Operator - Wastewater Technology (Remote Opportunity)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Operator in Wastewater Technology to join our team remotely. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a family-owned international company while contributing to sustainable water management practices. As an Operator, you will coordinate the semi-automated processes through specific plant controls, ensuring efficient operations in wastewater treatment.
What You'll Do
- Manage the exchange and connection of necessary auxiliary and operating materials (acids, alkalis, oxidation, and filter aids).
- Conduct repairs on pumps and plant components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform cleaning of filter presses and carry out maintenance tasks on the facilities.
- Collect wastewater samples for laboratory analysis and communicate effectively with the laboratory team.
- Order all auxiliary and operating materials as needed to maintain operations.
- Support as a forklift driver in waste management and provide coverage during vacations.
- Assist the energy team with maintenance tasks, including cleaning and filter changes on ventilation systems and repairs on water and wastewater facilities.
- Conduct technical cleaning tasks on cooling towers, office ventilation systems, and drains.
Requirements
- Completed technical training as a mechanic, mechatronics technician, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience handling hazardous materials such as acids and alkalis; chemical knowledge is advantageous.
- Structured, independent working style with a strong willingness to learn and take responsibility.
- Proficient in MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint for maintaining operational logs.
- Forklift license, excellent German language skills, and good English proficiency are required.
