Operations Control Coordinator - Water Infrastructure Operations (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Control Coordinator - Water Infrastructure Operations to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in supporting the Capital Regional District (CRD) in the effective delivery of operational and capital programs within Water Infrastructure Operations. You will play a key role in ensuring consistent processes for monitoring, reporting, and document control across the three Operations divisions: Transmission, Distribution, and Water Treatment.
What You'll Do
- Support Operations Managers in preparing contracts by drafting scope of work and supporting documentation, coordinating reviews, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for operational and capital projects to support workflow planning and reporting.
- Prepare schedules and work plans for operational programs and projects as directed by managers and CRD leadership.
- Analyze contractor and consultant submissions as required, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Establish and monitor operating and capital budgets, assisting CRD leadership in financial and operational performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with management staff, operators, engineers, and municipal partners to support effective coordination across multiple operational programs.
- Implement new operational processes and software, acting as a liaison with internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Leverage Microsoft 365 platforms to establish real-time monitoring of operational projects and safety task allocations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of directly related experience in operations coordination or project management.
- A degree in a related discipline; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and experience with Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret diverse information to achieve desired results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve project delivery.
- Understanding of project documentation and digital document management.
Nice to Have
- Experience in municipal infrastructure improvement projects.
- Familiarity with project controls and methodologies.
- Experience in managing consultants to facilitate project goals.
