Network Administrator - Remote Support for Military Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our team and provide remote support for military operations. This Network Administrator remote position is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of network services for the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC). You will play a vital role in maintaining network operations and supporting the mission-critical tasks of USSOCOM.

What You'll Do

• Monitor LAN and WAN equipment and circuits using Riverbed Event Manager.
• Triage and resolve technical problems for established networks, escalating as necessary.
• Assist in troubleshooting network production problems and emergencies.
• Maintain network operations and security through intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and VPN devices.
• Document network configurations, inventory, and training materials.
• Administer LAN/WAN-related network services according to government policies.
• Coordinate and implement network software and hardware upgrades.
• Resolve ticket requests and escalate issues to the Engineering team when required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Must meet TESA requirements for this position.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• CCNA or CCWA certification is mandatory.
• At least one year of prior experience as a Network Admin or IT Specialist.

Nice to Have

• Experience with network design implementation and configuration validation.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and antivirus measures.
