Network Administrator - Government Contract

About the Role

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Network Administrator remote to join our team for a government contract. This role involves providing comprehensive network and system support for the Air Force, ensuring optimal performance and security. What You'll Do

• Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
• Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, reporting anomalies to Government team leads.
• Develop, execute, modify, or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks as needed.
• Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate re-work or for auditing/investigation purposes.
• Notify the appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC) in writing within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
• Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
• Deep understanding and experience with enterprise-level network architectures/configurations is required; Software Defined Networking (SDN) experience is desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IAT-II Certification is mandatory.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CCNA certification testing and reimbursement.
