Morning Medication Aide/Med Tech - Part-Time Opportunity
About the Role
Waters Edge Lodge is currently seeking dedicated Medication Aides and/or Med Techs for both AM (6:00am-2:30pm) and PM (2:30pm-11:00pm) shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Morning Medication Aide/Med Tech remote position where you will play a crucial role in our residents' well-being. As a part of our team, you will administer medications, assist with caregiving, and respond promptly to residents' needs.
What You'll Do
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed.
- Assist with caregiving tasks to ensure residents' comfort and safety.
- Respond promptly to resident pull cords and alerts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, especially the elderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 months experience or equivalent education in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to speak English clearly to elderly residents.
- Patience and compassion when working with cognitively impaired individuals.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination and routine testing.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare facility.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.

Who Will Succeed Here
Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Proactive and empathetic attitude towards resident care, demonstrating a commitment to patient well-being while effectively communicating with both residents and healthcare teams in a fast-paced office environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols and healthcare compliance standards, possessing the ability to adapt quickly to evolving health guidelines and procedures.
