Model Validation Quant - Remote Position at Anchorage Digital

About the Role

We are seeking a Model Validation Quant to join our Global Analytics team at Anchorage Digital. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading digital asset platform, enabling institutions to participate in the crypto economy. As a Model Validation Quant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Model Risk Management program and providing expert guidance on capital planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Drive model validation work independently, leading projects from end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining sound model governance, including controls, inventory, reporting, and policies.
• Perform quantitative analytics and research to support business operations, financial forecasts, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain statistical models relevant for market risk, credit risk, and stress testing purposes.
• Participate in all aspects of the model life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, applied mathematics, or quantitative finance.
• Direct work experience in compliance modeling, risk measurement, and regulatory capital requirements.
• Hands-on experience in the entire model development lifecycle, including research, implementation, and production maintenance.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL and large data sets.
• Strong skills in statistics, quantitative modeling, and data analysis.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with U.S. banking regulatory requirements and their impact on organizations.
• Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents for regulatory contexts.
• Up-to-date knowledge of blockchain and crypto innovations.
