Senior Product Designer - AI-Driven Web3 Solutions

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small, high-impact design team at Mysten Labs. This Senior Product Designer remote position offers the opportunity to work across a spectrum of consumer products and developer-facing tools, with an 80/20 split between B2C and B2B work. You will own problems from early research and concept exploration through prototyping, visual design, and shipping, contributing to our evolving design systems and ensuring coherence across a rapidly expanding product surface.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full design lifecycle — from user research and problem framing to interaction design, high-fidelity UI, and production-ready specs across consumer and developer products.
• Prototype early and often. We love designers who prototype to think.
• Shape and scale our design systems so that new products launch with coherence and existing ones evolve gracefully.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align on priorities, scope tradeoffs, and ship with quality at speed.
• Bring strong visual and interaction craft to everything you touch — from micro-interactions in a wallet to the information architecture of a developer console.
• Advocate for users by grounding decisions in research, data, and a genuine curiosity about how people interact with blockchain-powered products.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership of shipped products — ideally a mix of consumer and platform/tools work.
• Fluency in Figma including component architecture, auto-layout, and variables for design system work.
• Strong prototyping instincts, reaching for interactive prototypes over static mocks when the problem calls for it.
• Experience contributing to or building design systems that serve multiple product surfaces.
• Excellent visual design sensibility — typography, color, spacing, motion — paired with rigorous interaction thinking.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, energized by early-stage product work where the problem space is still being defined.
• Clear, direct communication, able to articulate design rationale to engineers and executives alike.

Nice to Have

• Experience or strong interest in web3, crypto wallets, DeFi, or developer tooling in the blockchain space.
• Portfolio includes prototypes of ideas built with AI tools (Cursor, v0, Bolt, Replit Agent, or similar).
• Active exploration of how AI changes the design process itself — from ideation and layout generation to code-backed prototyping.
