Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
Join our team as a DevSecOps Engineer in a fully remote capacity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Information Delivery Cloud team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, where you will contribute to the modernization of our CI/CD pipelines and enhance our security measures.
What You'll Do
- Build and support modern CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security best practices are integrated.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers across cloud, data, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Explore AI tools to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and scripts.
- Respond to system failures and performance events to minimize downtime.
- Provide guidance and training to junior analysts and programmers.
- Consult with application partners on DevSecOps requirements and best practices.
- Implement automation and system integration for various build platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of experience in information technology concepts and application development.
- 3 years of systems and programming experience.
- Expert knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably C# or Python.
- Proven skills in analysis, design, and coding, with experience leading complex projects.
- Familiarity with application security scanning tools, preferably Checkmarx.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Knowledge of AIOps concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and patterns.
