About the Role

We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Transparency (Backend Engineer) remote to join our innovative team at Anchorage Digital. As a key member of our engineering team, you will help build the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto. What You'll Do

  • Design and implement backend APIs that enhance the client onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, customer experience, and legal to ensure regulatory commitments are met.
  • Capture critical data for record keeping and auditing while supporting transaction monitoring and screening for risk detection.
  • Drive medium-to-large projects independently, breaking them down into manageable tasks and accurately estimating time and scope.
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a backend engineer with a focus on building complex distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of code quality, test infrastructure, and extensible architecture.
  • Experience with technologies such as GraphQL, gRPC, and Temporal is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Experience implementing regulatory compliance controls in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with open source projects and debugging complex issues.
