About the Role

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining innovative products that empower Anchorage’s NeoBank functionality.
What You'll Do
- Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of the team’s backend systems.
- Write, review, test, and document code according to Anchorage’s engineering standards.
- Dive deep into complex problems, formulating elegant solutions that enhance our platform.
- Review code from other developers to ensure consistency and reduce errors.
- Lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large projects, coordinating with team members.
- Foster a culture of efficient testing, emphasizing the reduction of technical debt.
- Mentor and guide team members, helping them understand strategic goals and their relevance to the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and establish positive working relationships.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a geographically distributed team.
- Experience building complex distributed systems, preferably using Go.
- Strong engineering and management skills, prioritizing code quality and user experience.
- Familiarity with computer science fundamentals, including concurrency and algorithms.
- Ability to break down large projects into manageable tasks and accurately estimate project scope.

- Experience with applied cryptography and blockchain protocols.
- Background in the finance industry.
- Familiarity with languages like Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity.
