Medical Assistant (Bilingual Preferred) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Medical Assistant (Bilingual Preferred) remote position at Elica Health Centers. What You'll Do

• Assist with routine clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring excellent patient care services.
• Greet and prepare patients, perform vital measurements, and collect patient history and allergies.
• Input information into Epic EHR and assist Medical Providers with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections and diagnostic tests as ordered, documenting accurately in Athena EHR.
• Perform diagnostic tests including audiometry, EKG, spirometry, and more.
• Check out patients in the system and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Report any incidents or unusual occurrences to your supervisor/manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Outstanding customer service skills and compassion.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate HIPAA compliance.
• Bilingual in English and Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Farsi, or Dari preferred.
• Entry-level candidates welcome, but experience is highly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of basic clinic medical care and procedures.
• Current California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
