Manager of Human Subject Protection Program - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager of Human Subject Protection Program (HSPP) remote to join OSF HealthCare's expanding research enterprise. This pivotal leadership role is ideal for seasoned research professionals who thrive at the intersection of regulatory compliance, operational oversight, and investigator partnership.

What You'll Do

• Lead and evolve OSF’s Human Research Protection Program, supporting a diverse portfolio of clinical and academic research.
• Oversee IRB reliance, local oversight, event reporting, and compliance monitoring.
• Partner closely with Research Administration Leadership, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and clinical leaders.
• Mentor a team of research compliance professionals.
• Develop scalable processes, metrics, and continuous improvement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biological/Life Sciences).
• 5 years of direct experience in clinical research or research compliance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with external IRBs and knowledge of human subject protection regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with research compliance software and databases.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10 years of experience in research compliance and administration.
• Familiarity with Epic and clinical trial agreements.
