Machine Learning Operations Engineer - MLOps (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Machine Learning Operations Engineer - MLOps (Remote) to join our dynamic team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. This role is part of the AI Factory initiative within the Earth Sciences Department, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the deployment and operationalization of AI services that have a direct impact on scientific research and societal applications.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain AI software stacks and tools on the MareNostrum5 supercomputer.
- Support the deployment and scaling of AI workflows for users, particularly in environmental applications.
- Collaborate with consortium members and external developers to integrate new software tools and ensure compatibility.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerization workflows using technologies like Docker and Singularity.
- Optimize MLOps workflows, including model versioning, monitoring, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Solid experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a related software engineering role.
- Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in scaling generative models and deploying them in production environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in HPC or cloud-based environments.
- Familiarity with climate science datasets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.

Who Will Succeed Here
