Level 2 Forklift Operator - Full-Time Position
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Forklift Operator to join our team at Franklin Logistics. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment. As a Level 2 Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by loading and unloading materials, ensuring safety and efficiency in our lumber yard.
What You'll Do
- Operate 5K, 10K, and 15K forklifts to load and unload lumber onto flatbed trailers.
- Move and stack materials efficiently and safely.
- Manage rail cars on the line, including strapping products into gondolas.
- Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all operating guidelines.
- Maintain general housekeeping duties in production areas to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with all safety policies and regulations to ensure a secure workplace.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1 year of experience in a lumber yard environment.
- 1 year of experience operating large forklifts (10k or higher).
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work in multiple site locations as needed.
- Pre-hire drug screening required.
