About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Forklift Operator to join our team at Franklin Logistics. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment. As a Level 2 Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by loading and unloading materials, ensuring safety and efficiency in our lumber yard.

What You'll Do

  • Operate 5K, 10K, and 15K forklifts to load and unload lumber onto flatbed trailers.
  • Move and stack materials efficiently and safely.
  • Manage rail cars on the line, including strapping products into gondolas.
  • Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all operating guidelines.
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties in production areas to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all safety policies and regulations to ensure a secure workplace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1 year of experience in a lumber yard environment.
  • 1 year of experience operating large forklifts (10k or higher).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple site locations as needed.
  • Pre-hire drug screening required.
