Legal Counsel - Remote Opportunity at Coinhako

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercial, and astute regulatory Legal Counsel to join our legal team remotely. As a Legal Counsel at Coinhako, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and engage with matters at the forefront of the intersection between financial technology and regulations. This Legal Counsel remote position offers a unique opportunity to navigate the complexities of legal frameworks in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape.

What You'll Do

• Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues affecting all areas of the business.
• Review applicable laws and regulations and provide strategic guidance to key stakeholders in navigating legal and regulatory issues.
• Provide end-to-end legal and regulatory support for the launch of new products and services.
• Assist with corporate governance matters.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Liaise with various regulatory authorities and assist with license applications.
• Engage with policymakers on developments affecting the blockchain industry.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, including alternative dispute resolution methods.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Legal qualification in Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, or other comparable common law jurisdiction preferred.
• Relevant financial services regulatory and corporate experience is a plus.
• A commercial mind that enables you to identify and distill a variety of legal issues (e.g., regulatory, contract, IP, privacy, consumer protection, risk) and clearly communicate practical risk-based solutions to the business and product teams.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and a team player.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory environments.
• Strong negotiation skills.
