About the Role
We're excited to announce an opening for a Lead Software Engineer remote position at Hi Rasmus! In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that make evidence-based autism care accessible to families worldwide. Your expertise will help us achieve our mission of positively impacting the lives of 1 million children with autism.
What You'll Do
- Be the primary technical contributor on the team, owning complex problems and setting the quality bar for implementation.
- Design, build, and evolve core parts of our web and mobile applications using Vue 3, Quasar, Capacitor, Node.js, and Google Cloud Platform services such as Firebase and Firestore.
- Drive architectural decisions at the team level and contribute to cross-team technical alignment through the Lead Engineers guild.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code, ensuring the same standards are upheld across the team through code reviews.
- Work closely with Product and QA to translate business problems into robust technical solutions.
- Mentor and support Software Engineers through hands-on collaboration, pairing, and technical feedback.
- Identify technical risks, performance issues, and scalability concerns early, and proactively address them.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI) to increase development efficiency and help the team adopt AI-assisted workflows.
- Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, and standards as the organization grows.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer with a track record of delivering complex, production-grade systems.
- Deep proficiency in Vue 3 and Node.js, with strong full-stack understanding.
- Solid experience with Firebase, Firestore, and Google Cloud Platform services.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable APIs and data models.
- Strong architectural intuition and the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs.
- High code quality standards and strong opinions, loosely held.
- Ability to elevate team performance through technical leadership, mentoring, and example.
- Comfort operating in an environment where ambiguity is common and judgment matters.
- Strong interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Previous experience in healthcare technology.
