Lead Process Engineer - Manufacturing Excellence

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join our team at Jaguar Land Rover. You will play a crucial role in leading a team of engineers in the Trim & Final manufacturing area, ensuring flawless new model launches and optimizing processes. What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the Trim & Final manufacturing area.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Bill of Process (BOP) during product launches.
• Develop and implement processes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing excellence.
• Manage risk and contingency planning for product launches.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Utilize problem-solving methodologies to address complex engineering challenges.
• Conduct Health & Safety audits and ergonomics assessments.
• Coach and develop engineers, managing training and succession planning.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Manufacturing Engineering processes, tools, and techniques.
• Extensive experience in leading and developing teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong application of problem-solving methodologies and logical approaches.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety audits, ergonomics, and risk assessments.
• Proficient in PFMEA, Control Plan, and Design for Assembly principles.
• High level of computer literacy; ability to use engineering and program tools.
• Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience in launch environments and new model introduction.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of CAD tools, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
