About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with global payroll best practices. As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Lead the payroll operations team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
• Implement and maintain payroll best practices and compliance with local regulations.
• Utilize SAP and Google Sheets to manage payroll data and reporting.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior payroll staff.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to streamline payroll processes.
• Analyze payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
• Ensure excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and management.
• Proficient in SAP and Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Serbian and Croatian is a plus.
• Experience with Pantheon Software is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• In-depth knowledge of global payroll best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in B2B or SaaS environments.
• Certification in payroll management or related fields.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations in multiple countries.
