Lead Payroll Specialist - Remote Position for Global Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with German payroll regulations, and leading a team of payroll professionals. As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in payroll management and analytical skills to enhance our payroll processes and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the payroll processing for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of payroll specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Implement global payroll best practices and optimize payroll operations for efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payroll delivery and client communication.
• Utilize SAP, SAGE HR, and DATEV software to manage payroll data effectively.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide training and support to team members on payroll systems and compliance issues.
• Engage in problem-solving and analytical tasks to enhance payroll reporting and analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payroll management, with a focus on German payroll.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory regulations in Germany.
• Experience with payroll software such as SAP, SAGE HR, and DATEV.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
