Lead AI/​ML Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity. What You'll Do

• Design and implement APIs and data pipelines for mission applications.
• Develop software using Java, Python, C++, or TypeScript/Angular.
• Write clean and maintainable code following secure coding practices.
• Build modular microservices to enhance scalability and interoperability.
• Deploy containerized cloud-native services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to secure deployments across hybrid or disconnected environments.
• Develop distributed systems using message buses like Kafka or Redis.
• Collaborate to ensure interoperability across software ecosystems.
• Manage databases and model complex data relationships.
• Integrate AI/ML outputs into runtime systems.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps or ATO/RMF processes.
• Strong full-stack or systems engineering background.
• Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, C++, or TypeScript/Angular.
• Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth understanding of distributed systems and message buses.
• Experience integrating analytics and AI models into production systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
