About the Role
Blur Studio is seeking experienced freelance Keyframe Animators to join our team on exciting new cinematic projects. As a Keyframe Animator, you will work remotely, collaborating with talented professionals while adhering to GMT zone workday hours. This Keyframe Animator remote position offers the chance to animate characters, creatures, and vehicles, contributing to high-end, realistic game cinematics.
What You'll Do
- Animate characters, creatures, and vehicles for a series of shots, ensuring high-quality output.
- Keyframe from scratch using storyboards, key poses, and video references to create compelling animations.
- Blend, edit, and stylize motion capture performances to enhance the visual storytelling.
- Participate in regular reviews and dailies, providing feedback and receiving direction from the Director and Animation Supervisor.
- Adhere to project deadlines and accurately estimate the time needed for tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional VFX or animation experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Maya and its animation tools.
- Ability to create and find animation reference material for effective storytelling.
- Strong organizational skills and a clean working style.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction while finding creative solutions.
- Availability to work during GMT zone workday hours.
- A suitable personal workstation capable of running Maya with a reliable internet connection.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on high-end, realistic game cinematics.
- Familiarity with additional animation software or tools.
