Junior Risk Analyst (GRC) - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Risk Analyst (GRC) remote to join our team at Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within cybersecurity. As a Junior Risk Analyst (GRC) remote, you will gain hands-on experience and mentorship while contributing to vital risk management initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Lead Risk Analyst in investigating and analyzing insider risk cases.
• Work on risk-related tickets through to completion with oversight.
• Maintain accurate documentation of findings and actions taken.
• Support eDiscovery requests from Legal and HR, ensuring timely completion.
• Participate in internal and external risk assessments and compliance activities.
• Contribute to vendor due diligence questionnaires and third-party risk assessments.
• Assist in executing GRC-related project tasks and initiatives.
• Collect and validate GRC KPI and KRI metrics for reporting.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of information security frameworks and GRC concepts.
• One year or less of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic exposure.
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in cybersecurity risk and GRC.
• Strong critical thinking and sound judgment skills.
• Ability to learn independently and validate work.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Entry-level GRC, risk, or compliance certifications.
• Interest in pursuing certifications such as GRC Professional (GRCP).

• Base salary range of $55,000 – $65,000.
