About the Role

We’re hiring a Junior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote environment. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will design, maintain, and optimize our network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance across our systems.

What You'll Do

  • Design, configure, and maintain network systems, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and provide timely, effective resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Ensure best practices in network security, compliance, and redundancy are followed.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams on network-related projects.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for future reference.
  • Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and implementations to keep our systems up to date.
  • Support network-related aspects of IT projects and initiatives, contributing to team success.

Requirements

  • 0–4+ years of relevant experience in network administration, engineering, or related IT roles.
  • Solid knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools to assess performance.
  • Basic understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address issues effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a structured working style to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluent in English and based in Germany with legal authorization to work full-time.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern network technologies and infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
