IT Test Leader - Remote Position for EU Candidates

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Test Leader to join our team in a fully remote capacity, specifically for candidates based in the EU. As an IT Test Leader, you will spearhead end-to-end software testing for our enterprise systems, ensuring that our platforms meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role involves leading a team of testers across various systems, including SAP, e-commerce, and Salesforce, while fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and detailed test plans for enterprise-level programs and individual projects.
• Lead and coordinate all testing activities across SAP, e-commerce, and Salesforce platforms, ensuring all test phases are executed properly.
• Manage and mentor the testing team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Collaborate with the team to design effective test cases and scenarios that provide full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Utilize test management tools like JIRA to track testing progress and defects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle, ensuring quality assurance is a shared responsibility.
• Monitor testing metrics and provide regular updates on test progress and quality status to stakeholders.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of testing processes and implement enhancements to increase testing efficiency.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of software testing experience, including test lead/manager roles, with a proven track record of leading QA teams on large projects.
• Extensive hands-on experience in quality assurance for SAP systems and Salesforce solutions.
• Deep understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC), test design techniques, and end-to-end testing processes.
• Strong people management, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency in test management and issue tracking tools, particularly JIRA.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the retail industry or on retail IT projects.
• Involvement in large-scale enterprise transformation programs or multi-system integration projects.
• Exposure to test automation and performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile testing practices and continuous integration environments.
