IT Systems Manager - Relocate to the Cayman Islands

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished IT Systems Manager to join our team in the beautiful Cayman Islands. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a tropical environment while managing critical IT systems for a large retail client. As an IT Systems Manager, you will oversee the performance, security, and resiliency of all hardware, software, and networking technologies.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary internal IT resource, reporting directly to the CFO.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server 2016/2022, VMware ESXi 8, and vSphere clusters.
• Oversee Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Endpoint management systems.
• Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery planning, utilizing Veeam Backup and VMware Site Recovery Manager.
• Supervise third-party IT service providers to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and manage retail POS systems and desktop/laptop workstations.
• Ensure the security of building systems, including IP CCTV and lighting controls.
• Provide ongoing training and support to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Current Microsoft and VMware certifications are mandatory.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in systems administration and management.
• Proficiency in Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or MCSE Core Server 2016 certification.
• Experience with VMware (VCP6 or newer) certification.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to relocate to the Cayman Islands for this full-time role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL Server and retail management applications.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and UC Telephony systems.
• Experience in coordinating with third-party IT service providers.
