IT Support Specialist - On-Site Role in Hamburg

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join the applike group. This role is crucial for ensuring our office infrastructure and technology setup runs smoothly. As an IT Support Specialist, you will support a small team’s activities and contribute to our mission of creating engaging experiences for app users worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Provide first and second-level support to our team.
  • Ensure that our workplace technology is functioning optimally, including network, Wi-Fi, internet access, and tech equipment in common spaces and offices.
  • Assist with technical issues related to computer hardware and software across macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms.
  • Create and maintain tips and tricks solutions in our Confluence knowledge base.
  • Manage the IT warehouse effectively.
  • Set up and remove technical equipment as needed.
  • Oversee the management of over 450 workstations, primarily onsite in Hamburg but also remotely.
  • Ensure the security of our computers and network.

Requirements

  • Experience in IT Support roles or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge in operating system administration, network security setup, and process automation.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with high motivation and a hands-on mentality.
  • Strong command of English and German (minimum B2 level).
  • Experience in onboarding and mentoring junior colleagues is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring working students and interns.
