IT Security Analyst - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Analyst - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security frameworks, and managing incident responses. As an IT Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security posture of our organization while working in a fully remote environment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
• Implement and manage security operations and incident management processes.
• Develop and maintain security awareness training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Utilize security tools such as SIEM and other monitoring solutions to enhance security posture.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Participate in risk management assessments and audits to ensure adherence to security frameworks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an IT Security Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, CIS CSC Controls).
• Experience with AWS Security Services and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools, and incident response.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.

• Experience with automation tools for security processes.
• Knowledge of application security and network security best practices.
• Familiarity with data management and documentation management practices.
