IT Officer - Remote Support for Luxury Hotel

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Officer to provide remote support for our luxury hotel operations. As an IT Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT services, particularly in delivering high-quality Audio/Visual (AV) technical support for events and meetings. This position is essential for maintaining our commitment to a 5-star guest experience.

What You'll Do

• Assist in daily operations of the hotel's IT systems by providing technical support and maintaining hardware and software infrastructure.
• Set up, install, and operate AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and conferencing gear for meetings and events.
• Provide first-level technical support to hotel staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor the performance of key systems such as PMS, POS, and Wi-Fi, reporting any abnormalities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proven experience in setting up and operating sound, lighting, and presentation systems.
• Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS (Opera) and POS (Simphony).
• Solid basic knowledge of networking and security best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with guest-facing systems such as HSIA and IPTV.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.
