About the Role

Join us as an Investment Advisor in the tourism and hospitality sector, where you will contribute significantly to maximizing investment operations in New Zealand. This remote Investment Advisor role allows you to work from anywhere while making a valuable impact on the economy, society, and environment.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee funding processes and provide quality stakeholder support to enhance tourism investment.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Management and Performance (IMP) team to deliver an ambitious investment work program.
  • Manage approximately $100 million in Crown investment to ensure effective allocation and utilization.
  • Utilize the Ministry’s Investment and Financial Management Systems for efficient project planning and reporting.
  • Design and configure templates, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards to streamline investment processes.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring clarity and collaboration.
  • Adapt to changing requirements with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary business qualification is desirable.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment management, grants, or business administration.
  • Experience in project planning coordination and business processing support.
  • Familiarity with government processes and best practices in funding operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical experience in investment management systems is beneficial.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to changes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in designing reporting templates and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry.
  • Previous roles in government or public sector investment management.
